ADJUVANT TREATMENT WITH LOW-LEVEL LASER THERAPY IMPROVES BRONCHIAL ASTHMA IN YOUNG PATIENT: CASE REPORT

There was an expressive improvement in the clinical signs and symptoms of bronchial asthma in this patient post LLLT as evidenced by lung function and blood count.

Low-level laser therapy inhibits bronchoconstriction, Th2 inflammation and airway remodeling in allergic asthma.

Our results demonstrated that LLLT reduced BHR via RhoA and lessened allergic lung inflammation via STAT6.

Low-Energy Laser Irradiation Reduces Formation of Scar Tissue After Myocardial Infarction in Rats and Dogs

Our observations indicate that epicardial LELI of rat and dog hearts after chronic MI caused a marked reduction in infarct size, probably due to a cardioprotective effect of the LELI.

Dual Effect of Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) on the Acute Lung Inflammation Induced by Intestinal Ischemia and Reperfusion: Action on Anti-and Pro-inflammatory Cytokines

The results indicate that the LLLT attenuates the i-I/R-induced acute lung inflammation which favors the IL-10 production and reduce TNF generation.

EFFECTS OF LOW-LEVEL LASER THERAPY ON ADHESION AND PROFILERATION OF A549 EPITHELIAL CELLS IN DECELLULARIZED LUNG

The low-level laser therapy was effective in enhance the proliferation and adhesion of lung epithelial cells in scaffold lung. Therefore, the LLLT proves to be an important tool in lung recellularization process increased the feasibility of future lung transplantation

Laser biostimulation in the treatment of pleurisy

1. Patients with pleurisy undergoing laser stimulation presented with faster resorption of effusion and remission of the subjective symptoms, as well as significant decrease of biochemical acute inflammation parameters in the peripheral blood and therefore with faster recovery. 2. In patients with pleurisy laser treatment increases regenerative mechanisms of the pleural surface, thus decreasing the quantity of formed adhesions and resulting in better mobility of the diaphragm.

Anti-Inflammatory effects of low-level laser therapy (660 nm) in the early phase in carrageenan-induced pleurisy in rat

LLLT - 660 nm induced an anti-inflammatory effect characterized by inhibition of either total or differential leukocyte influx, exudation, total protein, NO, IL-6, MCP-1, IL-10, and TNF- , in a dose-dependent manner.

Acute effects of photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) combining laser diodes, light-emitting diodes, and magnetic field in exercise capacity assessed by 6MST in patients with COPD: a crossover, randomized, and triple-blinded clinical trial

This study showed that the combined application of PBMT and magnetic field increased the number of steps during the 6MSTand decreased the sensation of dyspnea and lower limb fatigue in patients with COPD.
